Shopkeepers allow you to set up custom villager shops that sell exactly what you want, at prices you decide. They can be player shops pulling supplies from a chest, all manageable through a friendly GUI. This system supports selling, buying, trading, and even distributing copies of written books. 📖💰

Acquiring Your Shopkeeper Egg 🥚

To begin, purchase a Shopkeeper Egg from Godfrey in the Shopping District for 2 diamonds. Hold this egg in your hand and right-click to cycle through shop types: selling, buying, trading, or book shops. Sneak and right-click to choose the shopkeeper entity type (villager, creeper, etc.). 🐣

Shop Types:

• Selling Shops: Exchange items for diamonds. 💎
• Buying Shops: Purchase items with diamonds. 🔄
• Trading Shops: Trade any items. ⚖️
• Book Shops: Sell copies of books. 📚

Shopkeeper Entities:

Shift (Crouch) + Right-click while not aiming at any block to select the Shopkeeper entity. Your shop can be represented by various entities, including but not limited to NPC (check this guide on how to edit NPC), villagers, creepers, drowned, endermen, and many more. Placing Your Shopkeeper 📍

Right-click on a chest to link it to your shop (this will be where your shop’s inventory is managed from). Then, right-click on the ground or another block to place your shopkeeper entity. This entity will serve as the interactive point for customers. 🛒

Open the Editor Window by right-clicking your shopkeeper while sneaking. This window allows you to:

• Rename Your Shop: Click the name tag icon and type the new name. 📝

• Move Your Shop: Click the enderpearl icon, then place your shopkeeper in a new location. 🗺️
• Delete Your Shop: Click the bone icon to remove your shopkeeper. Remember, there’s no undo! 🚫

Managing Your Inventory and Trades 📦

Place items you wish to sell, buy, or trade in the linked chest. Open the Editor Window to set prices and manage inventory. For trading, specify items and their costs directly in the GUI. Use placeholder items to set up trades for items you don’t own yet. 🛍️

Book Shops:

For selling books, place the written books in the chest along with book & quill items. The shopkeeper will create copies upon sale. Note: Books are identified by their title, and you cannot sell non-copyable books. 📖
