Find Gems in structure loot, trade them for custom decorative heads, keep them safe, and exchange or buy Gems at the Nova Bank.
Gems are rare collectibles that unlock decorations you can’t get anywhere else. They tie together exploration, the economy and the art of decorating.
Finding Gems
Gems turn up in the loot chests of naturally generated structures: dungeons, temples, fortresses, end cities and more. Every structure you explore is a chance to find one.
Spending Gems
Seek out the special Gem villagers in the Shopping District. They trade Gems for custom-textured heads: animals, foods, furniture details and countless decorations for your home or shop.
Handle with care
A genuine Gem carries a custom name and hidden data that proves it is real.
- Never place a Gem. A placed Gem becomes an ordinary decorative head and loses its value for good.
- Very occasionally a Gem can lose its data and stop working in trades.
The Nova Bank
The Nova Bank looks after the realm’s Gem supply.
Exchanging a broken Gem
If one of your Gems has lost its data, visit Simon in the Bank Manager’s room. He exchanges a broken Gem for a pristine one. If that doesn’t solve it, open a ticket on Discord.
Buying Gems
Gems can also be bought at the bank. To protect the economy from inflation, they are sold in limited quantities and restocked weekly at random times. All proceeds go back into the server to fund events, contests and prizes.
