Fair Play & Protection

How Terra Nova logs and restores griefing, protects public areas, detects cheating, handles inactivity, and how to report problems or appeal a ban.

Terra Nova is built on trust, but trust works best with a safety net. Here is what keeps the realm fair, and what to do when something goes wrong.

Griefing is logged and reversible

Every block placed or broken and every item taken from a container is logged by CoreProtect. Staff can see exactly who did what and when, and they can roll damage back.

Found damage or missing items?

  1. Don’t repair it yourself yet, because the logs are easiest to read untouched.
  2. Note the coordinates, the world and roughly when you last saw it intact.
  3. Open a support ticket on Discord.

Protected areas

Spawn, the Shopping District and other public areas are protected regions (WorldGuard). You can’t build or break there unless the area allows it. Shop plots in the Shopping District are assigned through a Discord ticket.

Your own chests, doors and other blocks are protected individually with Bolt.

Cheating is detected

Unusual ore discoveries are reported to staff automatically (OreAnnouncer), and staff investigate suspicious activity. X-ray, FreeCam and the other mods listed in Resource pack & client mods can lead to a permanent ban.

Bans, mutes and appeals

Punishments are handled with LiteBans. If you believe a punishment was a mistake, open a ticket on Discord, calmly explain what happened and include any evidence. Staff decisions consider context and history.

Inactivity

Extended inactivity starts a process that can end with your bases, shops, farms or builds being auctioned, reassigned or removed.

  • Players who are inactive for a long time are contacted on Discord.
  • Going away? Open a ticket first. Telling staff pauses the process.
  • Players who have left the Discord get no grace period.
  • Completed inactivity actions can’t be undone.

Getting help

Ask in chat, ping a Knight, or open a support ticket on Discord. Tickets are the fastest way to reach staff, and they keep a record of your request.
