Joining & connecting

What version is the server?

Minecraft Java Edition 26.2. Connect to play.terranovasmp.net.

Can I join on Bedrock (console or mobile)?

No. Terra Nova is Java Edition only.

I applied. When will I be whitelisted?

Staff review every application by hand, so it can take a little while. Keep an eye on your Discord notifications. If several days pass without word, open a support ticket.

I didn’t get a link code, or TeraBot didn’t respond.

Reconnect once to get a fresh code and send it as a private message to @TeraBot. If it still fails, open a ticket. See How to join.

Custom items look like vanilla items.

You declined the server resource pack. Enable it under Multiplayer → Edit → Server Resource Packs. See Resource pack & client mods.

Playing

Where can I build?

Almost anywhere more than 1,000 blocks from the Shopping District and restricted areas, at a respectful distance from other players. Claim your spot in the Discord claims channel. See Your first day.

Is there land protection?

Not for whole areas in the overworld. Your containers, doors and other blocks are protected individually with Bolt, and every change is logged, so griefing can be traced and rolled back.

Are there teleport commands like /home or /tpa?

No. Travel is part of the adventure. Use the Nether roof highway. See Getting around.

Is PvP allowed?

Only with consent or during designated events. Non-consensual PvP is not permitted.

Can I use mods?

Yes, if they give no unfair advantage. Minimaps, Litematica, Replay Mod and performance mods are fine. X-ray, FreeCam, combat automation and similar are not. See the full list.

Can I buy a rank or items?

No. Terra Nova is never pay-to-win. Ranks come from playtime and contribution. Donations only support running costs.

Problems

Someone griefed my build or stole from me.

Don’t fix it yet. Note the coordinates, world and time, then open a Discord ticket. Staff can trace and roll back changes. See Fair play & protection.

I’m going to be away for a while.

Open a ticket before you go. This pauses the inactivity process for your builds and shop.

How do I appeal a ban?

Open a ticket on Discord, explain what happened calmly and include any evidence.
